You Know You and Your Hubby Have Lost Touch When...

by Kristyn Crow | More from this Blogger

Marriage requires a continual effort to stay emotionally "in touch." Without a commitment to spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical connectedness, the relationship just might morph into something you no longer recognize.

Just for the fun of it, I've written fifteen indicators that you and your husband have lost touch in your relationship. Excuse my strange sense of humor, and hey...guys...forgive me for writing this from a woman's point of view. It's the perspective I know best. (A little sensitive, are we?)

You know you and your hubby are a bit out of touch when...

  1. His last compliment was, "You actually cooked tonight?"
  2. A caller asks if your husband is home, and you reply, "Mentally or physically?"
  3. For your birthday, he bought you a book called, "Control Your Nagging in 12 Easy Steps."
  4. If you ask for a back rub, he says he'll "pencil it in" sometime next week.
  5. If you put the overflowing trash can in his bed, there's still only a fifty-fifty chance he'll take it out.
  6. The kids ask, "How long has Dad been building that...THING in the garage?" and you have no idea what they're talking about.
  7. You get your hair done and his only response is, "How much did THAT cost?"
  8. He thinks "date night" is a television show.
  9. Your most intimate recent discussion was a comparison of two electrical bills.
  10. When you say, "My needs aren't being met," he hands you a doughnut.
  11. The only thing he remembers on your anniversary is to recharge his cell phone.
  12. You say, "We need to start working out," and he suggests you take over mowing the lawn.
  13. Your mother is actually starting to like him.
  14. He's sleeping on the couch over a "Which tastes better, Coke or Pepsi" debate.
  15. He was just featured on America's Most Wanted.
