When planning music for your wedding, you must decide if you want to hire someone to play an instrument or sing or if you want prerecorded music. There are pros and cons to each decision. With all types of new technology it is very easy to create your own compact disc of special songs for your wedding. You and your mate can pick out songs with meaning for you as a couple. The songs can then be recorded in a special order for your ceremony. You will only need someone to hit the play button at appropriate times. This method can be much cheaper than hiring someone to sing or play. Some brides feel that having a person singing or playing an instrument has more of an impact on the ceremony than prerecorded music. If this is your choice you may be lucky enough to have a friend or family member to play or sing for you. However, if you plan on having a professional harp player or soloist, plan on spending money and booking well in advance. Either way that you decide to go, make sure that you put some thought in your music and song choice. Music can be very emotional and touching.
