The Romantic City of Romeby Lyn Newton | More from this Blogger 10 Oct 2007 10:49 AM I have never traveled much. I have never been on an airplane and I have never left the country. However, places of the world intrigue me. I had always thought Paris would be a very romantic place to visit. To me Paris has always appeared to be the city of love. However after running across an article focusing on Rome, it seems that maybe Rome can be just as sensual. In researching Rome, I found a few romantic places and activities to share with you (hopefully at least one or two of my readers will get to Rome sometime in their lives). Hotels of Love Hotel de Russie This hotel is located on the Pizza del Popolo. It is surrounded by magical terraced gardens. The romance begins when the gardens are lit up at night by candles. The spa also offers great romance. Hotel Sant'Anseimo This hotel is in the highest status of locations. Its appearance with wrought iron staircases, large hanging curtains and leather furniture give the appearance of love. Romantic Foods Hotel Forum This restaurant is not only romantic for its wonderful food but it also has a view that will win any woman's heart. The Library This restaurant allows you to take off your shoes and enjoy a nice comfortable candlelit dinner. One table with special service is also available. Romantic Outing Botanic Garden Walk through the canopy of trees and listen to the rush of the water from the fountain. Escape to another world. The fountains of Rome Take a romantic stroll through the cities collection of fountains while they are lit up at night. Couple Activities Acanto Spa Enjoy a romantic couple's massage and milk bath. La Bottega del Cioccolato Take advantage of the city by trying the delicious and romantic fine chocolates. Zou Zou Buy a gift for your loved one at this special lingerie boutique.
