Questions about Single Parents and Dating

We all know that divorce is much more common now than ever before. In addition having children out of wedlock is also fairly common. It is not uncommon to have over half of a group of twenty children come from either a single parent or a divorced home.

Statistics also say that people are waiting longer to get married now. Many people are continuing their education first and then considering marriage later. With all of the factors listed above, it can make it difficult for a person of waiting to find a mate who has not either been divorced or has children.

It can also make it difficult for the divorcees and single mothers and single fathers to date. Children can very much so complicate a social life. Especially when teenagers are involved.

In today's article, I would like to address all of you single mothers and fathers out there.

I hear many songs on the radio and movies on television that address the hardships of single parents and dating. I also have a few friends who are single parents.

To satisfy my curiosity and that of the other readers, I am asking that some of you single mothers and fathers who are on the dating scene ponder and respond to the questions below.

Do you find that it is difficult to date as a single mother or father?

Are men and women turned off when they discover that you have a child?

How long do you date before introducing your child to the mate?

When do you tell the person that you have a child?

Do you ever take you child on a date with you?

How does your child affect your taste or opinions in mates?

Would you break off a good relationship because your child did not like the mate?
