As a previous article stated Wedding Location">wedding location is a big decision. Some people have no doubts on where they will have their wedding. However others are more undecided.

It seems that a new movement has been made toward having further away more exotic wedding destinations. Islands are very popular for those who choose to have their wedding in another location other than their home. Many also travel to the mountains for their wedding.

Before packing your bags and heading off to get married there may be some factors that you should consider. Having your wedding miles from home can have its advantages and disadvantages. Make sure that both you and your mate agree and are settled with the decision that is made.

One advantage to "going off" to get married is the reduction of planning. When you schedule to have your wedding at a beach or in the mountains or on a cruise ship most of the planning is in prearranged packages. The services are provided by a company. Therefore you have less to worry about when it comes to wedding details.

Another advantage to traveling to one of these locations is the pictures. Weddings on the beach or at a waterfall or on a mountain can be breath taking. Your wedding will be unique and likely different from any of your friends or family.

One disadvantage is the people that you invite. The travel expenses can cost a lot. Many of your friends and family will not be able to afford to be with you on your wedding day. For some people this may be included in advantages. However for most it is a negative factor against leaving for your wedding.

Another disadvantage is the lack of being able to know what you are going to get. Unless you have already been to this location before, you can only go by pictures on websites and in brochures for details. When scheduling at some of these resorts one can never be certain on how well managed these places will be. The uncertainty can make a bride to be uneasy.
