But why love each other as is if every day is the only day? One of the reasons is that we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Given the number of car accidents, health issues, natural disasters like bush fires, earthquakes etc none of us can know if we will even have a tomorrow. Another reason to love each other as is if every day is the only day, is that we will focus on the things that are important in our lives and not get hung up on trivial things that don't matter in the scheme of things. We'll ignore or forgive or deal with the little niggles and not let them build up into major issues. When you love someone you don't love them the same way all the time. Sometimes we can almost take them for granted and not make enough effort to show our love. If we love each other as of today is the only day, we will want it to be a day to remember. We will take time for each other. We'll want to show our spouse how much we love them by what we say and do. We will want to be them or at least let them know how special they are to us and why. If your spouse is going to be at work today and you can't be together, why not leave a little love note in his brief case, tool box, or lunch box or an SMS message on their phone. Just a little something that lets them know your thinking of them and that you'll miss them in the hours you're apart. It's often those little things that mean a lot.
