The mother claims that the doctors are against the idea of doing the transplant because her son has autism, (and other issues). Obama Wants Seasonal Firefighters to Have Insurance

You might not realize it, but, the seasonal firefighters who were battling the fires in Colorado don’t have health insurance coverage. They can’t buy the federal insurance offered to full-time firefighters, either. President Obama has directed federal officials to let the seasonal firefighters buy insurance. Firefighters who work full-time, or year-round, are able to qualify for federal health insurance. I think it is fairly obvious why people need to have a good health insurance policy.
