Parrott Marriage Book Blog Tour Coming to Families.comby Courtney Mroch | More from this Blogger 16 Apr 2008 05:00 AM Shortly after I returned home earlier this month I received an intriguing email. It was from a Mr. Michael Pritchard with Zondervan. His subject line read "Courtney, Les and Leslie Parrott Marriage Book Blog Tour Invitation." Marriage? Books? Blogs? Some kind of tour and an invitation? Didn't look like the run of the mill spam. Turns out it wasn't. Zondervan is a big Christian publisher and here they were asking me to help them with a very cool promotion idea. The chance to read Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott's newest book Trading Places: The Best Move You'll Ever Make in Your Marriage, ask them a question, and then partake in their "book blog tour" by posting their response on a certain date. I enthusiastically RSVP'd that I'd be both delighted and honored to participate. Days after submitting my acceptance I received my complimentary copy of the book. Now I'm even more excited. It looks like it has some really neat approaches to strengthening a marriage. I'm sure I'm going to have lots to reflect on after I've read it! Who are Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott? They've written a bunch of books, both individually and together. Their Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts was a Gold Medallion Award-winner. They are co-directors of the Center for Relationship Development at Seattle Pacific University, and are also co-creators of eHarmony Marriage. Basically, not only are they married but they work together. And they seem to have devoted their working lives towards helping others enrich their marriages. I'm looking forward to becoming acquainted with their work as I read Trading Places. Mark Your Calendars On Friday May 9, 2008, Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott's book tour will make its stop here. I'll try to make my one question a good one. It's kind of a lot of pressure actually. I want to make sure it's not one they've been asked before, but I also want to make sure it's one that'll enlighten both you and I.
