Do Some People Change after Marriage?by Lyn Newton | More from this Blogger 30 Jun 2008 05:02 PM Have you ever thought that you were getting one thing and then it turned out to be something else? For example have you ever ordered a coke and took a drink and it was diet coke? Or has the same ever happen to you with sweet and unsweet tea? It can be quite a shock to think that you have one thing and then discover that it is not what you had expected. In some cases these little surprises can be pleasant and positive. However in many cases they are not. Have you ever heard of the same happening with marriage? There are several times that I have heard it said and even a movie that once addressed it. Do some people really change once they are married? Does saying “I do†give some people a complete new outlook on life and their relationship? Evidently for some it does. I have heard tales of men commenting that their wife was so fun and laid back before marriage and once they tied the knot she turned into a nagging and controlling monster with a “to-do†list. I have heard some women comment that their man was a kind, sweet, romantic, and mannerly person until they go married. After that all of the romance and sweetness that he used to bestow on her left their relationship. Have you ever heard any of these tales before? Have you ever known anyone who let the wedding band go to their head? Do think that some people really do change after they get married? I suppose that in some cases people might change after married. I have heard of many people who change after receiving a promotion to boss. However I think that in some cases there may have been a lack in communication among the couple. Perhaps they did not discuss all of the issues that should have been discussed before marriage.
