The other night, I watched Joel Osteen. He was talking about toxic thoughts. As he was speaking about the importance of detoxing your thoughts, something he said really struck me. Toxic Thoughts He was explaining how damaging bad thoughts can be. How they shut you down, stifle you, keep you stuck, and prevent you from living up to your full potential. Word Power

One of several treasured gifts I was given recently was a copy of ‘The Friendly Persuasion’ by Jessamyn West. The movie, Friendly Persuasion, adapted from this book is my all time favorite movie. I have read the book before but it is one of those few pieces of fiction I will read again and again. I love the picture of marriage shown between Jess and Eliza Birdwell. What Are You Modeling?

This morning I heard an interview on the car radio about modeling. Not the catwalk, skinny almost to the point of anorexia, type modeling but the model parents set for children. The subject under discussion was the use or misuse of alcohol and how children pick up on what they see modeled in the home. At the moment the Australian government is running a series of ads about the effects on children of what they see modeled in the home.
