A Thanksgiving Listby Dale Harcombe | More from this Blogger Since this is the season for thanksgiving, I thought I'd share with you on the marriage blog some of the things I'm thankful for. It would come as no surprise to anyone who's a regular reader of my blogs to know that one of the things I am most thankful for is my husband. The second follows on from that. I am thankful for our son and daughter. Thankful too for each of their marriage partners, that they share their Christian beliefs, faith and commitment the same as Mick and I do. I am thankful God brought us together and brought them and their spouses together. Of course I'm thankful for our three grandchildren too and the joy they bring. Yesterday Mick and I did some Christmas shopping for the grandchildren and that's a lot of fun. I'm thankful for common interests with my husband that sees us play tennis together, watch footy together in the football season, enjoy live theater, reading, crosswords, spending time together on our own or with friends and family. That brings up another one - friends I'm thankful fro the friends we have. Some are friends that have been dear friends for a long time that we played tennis with or spent time in bible study together. Others are friends we have made since we moved a little over two years ago and they are friends like I never dreamed we'd make at this stage of life. Somehow it seems like we have always known them and we share lots of fun and good times together. So yes, I'm thankful for this place where we live as well and the opportunities moving ere s opened up. I'm thankful for our church and that Mick and I are able to be part of that together. It doesn't take long to think of many more things to be thankful about. I could keep going, but I won't. I would love to hear about some of the things you are thankful for.
