17 Ways to Brighten Your Spouse's Day

It's the little things that brighten our day, like the person who rings just to check how you are because they haven't seen you for a while. Like the friend who rings to cheer you on and encourage you when you're feeling down after bad news. It's the little things in marriage that are important too.

What things? Here's a check list of little ways you can encourage your spouse and let them know you love them. See how many you can add to your marriage this week.

1. Encourage your spouse when they take on something new.

2. You can brighten their day by telling them how great they look in an outfit,

3. Compliment them for one of their personality traits,

4. Thank them for something they've done.

5. Let your spouse know by a phone or text message if you're going to be late

6. Send your spouse a message just to say 'I love you and I'm thinking of you.'

7. Plan a surprise with them in mind. It doesn't have to be anything big, just something you know they will like.

8. Put a love note where you know your spouse will find it.

9. Help them with a chore at home.

10. Praise your spouse when you are talking about them to others.

11. Tell them how glad you are you married them and some of the reason why you are glad.

12. Plan a date night doing some of their favorite things.

13. Stop and give you spouse a kiss or cuddle on your way though a room.

14. Cook their favorite meal for no other reason than because you want to please them

15. Send them an email telling them how much you love them.

16. Buy them a special surprise gift. - A chocolate they like flowers or a plant, or some little thing that shows you were thinking of them.

17. Spoil them by making a cake or a special favorite desert.

The most important thing is to let them know by your words and actions how much you love them and could not imagine life without them.
